About the 20 Harvest Challenge
What is the 20 Harvest Challenge?
The Core Challenge:
The 20 Harvest Challenge is a series of interconnected initiatives united by one core goal: to find out how much we can improve sustainability and regional food security in British Columbia by working together.
There are three main programs/projects created under the 20 Harvest Challenge: Flood Stories project, Dig for Your Rights! program and Dress for Your Rights! Program.
Experts warn that we have approximately 50 harvests left before our current agricultural system fails. We must change how we grow, harvest, process, and distribute food and fibre.
The 20 Harvest Challenge works to protect children’s rights by supporting participation rights and inspiring children to collaborate in improving sustainability and food security in B.C. with the ultimate goal of achieving sustainable fashion and complete regional food security within 20 harvests.
